Climate-Related Security Risks in MENA
This study, commissioned by UN DPPA, is focused on the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). It seeks to review and increase understanding of the potential impact of climate change on the region’s political landscape, including the links between climate change and insecurity.
Reduce sustainable development gaps across MENA
MENA countries score an average of 59.8 out of 100 on achieving the UN SDGs, with 14 Arab nations failing to meet even one goal. Without significant action, global SDG achievement could be delayed by 60 years beyond the 2030 deadline. Targeted investments in inclusive growth, youth development, skills, and technology could help the region recover lost progress.
